Ahhh coupons! Everyone loves pizza coupons including Bo & I and our staff. What we don't like are expired coupons. HAHA.
Seriously, if I try and use an expired coupon at a restaurant, the grocery store, an oil change place, guess what happens--I can't use them because they expired! Why would it be any different at Mannie & Bo's?
We offer our wonderful customers coupons and we put expiration dates on them for a reason. We also change our coupons up and rotate them throughout the year to see what works or what doesn't work. Why would you get mad at us or our employees if we DO NOT accept an expired coupon?
Case in point-- a customer calls up and says he has a coupon for such and such. I said sir, that coupon expired in September of 2010. He said so what, I am a good customer and a good friend of the owner. REALLY? Are you kidding me? I am the owner.
Now, here is what is wrong with this picture. #1 He claims to be a "good" customer. If he was that good, he would have our CURRENT coupons which came out on March 1 not one that expired on 9/30/10. I guess you can't be too good if you haven't ordered pizza from us since September. Then again, perhaps he has ordered from us and just found this coupon in his kitchen junk drawer (we all have them) so this brings up #2. #2 He claims to be a "good" friend of the owner. OK, Bo & I have "good" friends who NEVER ask us for a coupon, NEVER use coupons, and always pay full price. Do you know why our "good" friends don't ask us for a discount? Because they are our GOOD FRIENDS and know our products cost us money.
So please, pizza coupon addicts, kindly understand why we do not accept expired coupons, and use your NEW, CURRENT coupon you received on your box top or in your mailer on your next order. Just be sure to check the expiration date.
Thanks for understanding!
Ann Marie & Bo
